Do not use your toilet to get rid of garbage. Under no circumstances flush cotton balls or swabs, paper towels, diapers, sanitary pads or other materials that will not dissolve. These items can cause major clogs. Additionally, use the minimum amount of toilet paper required to clean up after you are done. If your pipes are making a racket, there is a simple way to quiet them down. You must anchor any type of exposed pipe. If these pipes on the ceiling, or in the floors or walls, it might be a good idea to hire a professional to help you finish the project. If you need a plumber, check out their credentials before hiring them. A plumber that is not skilled in a particular task could actually aggravate the problem. Check out online reviews of various plumbing companies, or get recommendations from friends and family.

Fix low water pressure by cleaning out the aerator to clean out sediment buildup. Remove the aerator, and then take it apart so it can be cleaned with a brush that has been dipped in vinegar. After cleaning it, put the aerator back together and put it back on the faucet. Removing obstructions from the aerator should allow for increased water pressure.
